They did the same thing at the end of the "Plucky-Playing-Bagpipes" episode, where he announced in a matter-of-fact evil tone that he "taped" the episode he was trying so hard to watch. They did that every so often, didn't they: made Hampton look slightly evil. Pig announcing that it wasn't really his birthday at the end!! (I think that was this episode, anyways). WAIT, there was one part that WAS memorable.somewhat: Hampton J. I really don't have much to say about the others. Roger makes his second cameo appearance in the episode 'Buster and Babs Go Hawaiian'. And this episode at least did a better job with it than Citizen Max, imho. Roger makes a cameo in the opening wraparound of the episode 'New Character Day' when he performs in front of Buster and Babs to be a new character in Tiny Toon Adventures, but he was rejected. (Sorry.that's just how I feel about them. I mean, I still didn't like him after watching that short, but it at least was more bearable for me to watch than those Buster-has-a-trick-up-his-sleeve-around-every-corner bash-him-throughout-the-entire-cartoon tedious, repetitive, and predictable Monty-fests they usually have. I think it's good to every-so-often humanize a villain. I really didn't mind the Monty crossover. I got done watching it, and suddenly wanted to know what EVERY character would be like drunk: Shirley's drunken variation of her Carey mood swing, Fifi swooning after having too much wine, Dizzy Devil (now that would just be funny.), Gogo Dodo.not even gonna touch that one. I'm not sure they got their message across for me. 2 goes we'll see if airdate order mandates it be included, but I hope not. This one's right on the bubble as far as Vol. Sure, it's got Hollywood Plucky, but Rainy Daze is going to hurt the score some. I'm really worried about the coming reviews for the first DVD set, as many of the more childish episodes are on there.
What I hate most of all regarding the existence of episodes like this is that they make it harder for a Tiny Toon fanatic to defend this show. Like Buster, Babs is usually willing to go out of her way for her friends. And then we have an episode that begins with Buster saying "Today is all about the fun we have with toys!" It's on a completely different planet. This was the SECOND season they found their groove by this point, as evidenced by Kon Ducki, Buster and Babs Go Hawaiian, Take Elmyra Please (sorry, but I love it), and that amazing videotape. Hamton's birthday is mediocre, and that's the best this ep can do.įor a show that, many times, was made to defy the 80's rule that all cartoons must only be written for children.an episode like this is inexcusable. The worst Max cartoon ever made (he's way too soft, he's not the hilariously harsh superbrat that makes his appearances memorable, and we never see that fat dad again) and the most boring Furrball short ever made.
